Orbit TV 0.5.0 — classic bottom programme strip
Changes
Paul confirmed 0.4.0 played provider media on the Xiaomi. He requested a classic bottom programme strip, removal of the persistent top banner, an icon legend without coloured remote-key boxes, and removal of the CRT logo's white outline.
The sample player now shows a pale channel/time header, blue NOW/PAUSED and INFO rows, and a plain Channel ▲▼ / back-to-guide icon / CC legend. It is positioned at the bottom, hides after five seconds of active playback and is revealed by OK. Paused/buffering states keep it visible. The old permanent top banner and stock controller are removed.
The legend is visual only in this pass, as Paul requested. It does not switch channels, open the guide or change subtitles. Physical Back still returns to the sample. OK toggles play/pause when the strip is already visible; left/right seek ten seconds. The standard subtitle/audio selector from 0.4.0 is not shown in this visual revision.
The separate logo artwork retains the dark CRT, curved gold screen and white Office lettering but removes the cream/white outer cabinet border and pale feet.
Validation
Final debug APK build, 31 existing Android tests and lint passed. Zero lint errors. APK signature verified and certificate matches the installed previous revision. Code review covered remote-key event handling, five-second timeout reset, playback-state visibility and retaining the existing error/background/session-cleanup paths. FigCraft OSD mockup and logo renders were visually inspected; VectorCraft conversion reported no warnings. No redundant implementation-mirroring tests were added for this UI pass.
Limits and TV check
The new layout and timer need a hardware check after approval to install 0.5.0. The preview PNG is a design mockup using an original abstract background, not a capture of provider video. No credentials, library titles, media URLs or provider images were read by development tools. No real provider login was performed during this increment. Check: select a sample title, wait five seconds, press OK to reveal the strip, pause/resume, try left/right seeking and Back to sample. Confirm readability and absence of the old top banner. The existing fictional guide remains unchanged. No full import or new channel engine is added. No TV installation, VPS, firewall or service change was performed during this build increment.
