The previous commit on main went in with unresolved conflict markers in ChannelSchedule.kt and ChannelScheduler.kt; this
resolves them (marathon alongside main's fixed slots and held films). Tests pass.

Ported from the release line. Discovery can still use a person rule; an approved event's films book on their IMDb IDs and a
copy that plays.

Ported from release 0.108.41. On this line Advent's doors, the Naughty List and the approved debuts are Paul's by item and
apply only on his server too. Roadmap: the portability section, including LAN-only plain HTTP as a later, separate change.

Paul, 6 November 2026. Nite Owl, Junior's overnight host, a new member;
Night Cap is Luna in her nightcap, so the cast never has two moons. Drawn

Paul, 6 November 2026, after NostalgiaTV's Channel Redirect: at set hours a
channel becomes another with its own name, mark, ident and programmes.
Suggested pairings (ToonZ Late, Nite Owl, Tots Dreamtime, Terra Starlight),
the guide across a switchover, the switchover ident, and what Kids sees.

Paul, 6 November 2026, after NostalgiaTV's v0.10.51. Over a programme's
last minute (or from Emby's credits marker) the picture eases into a frame
and Next on <channel> fills the rest with a cast member, then the ident as
now; a marathon look for one-show runs; a Tonight at the Drive-In promo in
the ident's place now and then; the timing and rules. For approval only.

Paul, 6 November 2026: join an existing Orbit, find it on the Wi-Fi or

Paul, 5 November 2026: channels become Use Orbit's channels or Create your
own, then a scan showing what goes where (your own channel marked); Drift's
scan gives the library's size and a time estimate; motion notes for Ollie
rolling in and blinking, Drift bobbing and blinking, and the cast drifting
right through the cosmos at the end; a Choose your look step with six
themes (Orbit Night, Daybreak, Nebula, Retro Tube, Deep Sea, High
Contrast). For approval only.

Paul, 5 November 2026: Catch Up from the main menu too. A tab between TV
Guide and Drive-In opens a page of the last two days: Just missed (newest
first), Earlier today and Yesterday, each row scrolling on; a two-part story
shows its part 1.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Four screens in the approved guide's style (design/catch-up/build-catchup.py):
the guide scrolled back into the last two days with a Catch Up mark on past
programmes, the Catch Up pop-up (watch from the start, or both parts of a
two-part story), watching from the start with skip, pause and back to live,
and the sleep timer in the watching panel with its one-minute warning.
Roadmap notes Silo (siloserver.org) among the servers to support.

Paul, 5 November 2026: he'll watch and refine for a few weeks first so the
algorithm matures before release.

Approved by Paul on 5 November 2026. The idea pop-up in the Director's
Chair now offers Approve, Defer and Dismiss. Approve keeps each film's
identity (title, year, IMDb ID, library item) in the history and turns the
idea into a Drive-In event booked exactly like the ten curated ones: only
once the Drive-In's plan reaches its evening, only appending, and only if
every film passes the box's checks again then. Defer brings an idea back
after four weeks; Dismiss drops it unless its films change. Approved events
count for editorial competition and evenings like the curated ones.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The box's run after 0.108.18 proposed Ealing again in the one free place,
because a new run didn't know what the week had already shown. This week's
ideas now feed in: never repeated, and their films and evenings are taken.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The box's third run proposed the Ant-Man double again under rules 4, but its
history entry from rules 3 was marked withdrawn, so it was recorded as known
and left off the Chair. A re-proposed idea now replaces its withdrawn entry.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The box's second run built 'Toho Monster Night' from Bleach, Psycho-Pass 3
and Godzilla Minus One: Toho's name is on anime it only distributed. A
studio's night now leaves animation out unless it's an animation studio,
and Toho's monsters are left to their franchise night. Ideas shown under
rules 3 are withdrawn and kept in the history.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Paul, 5 November 2026: the sequel rules for TV too. Story grouping is now on
every series channel, not just Paradox, Heroes, Orbit X, Vortex, Orbit 1
and Evidence: weighted blocks book a multi-part story whole, in order, back
to back, and a mixed show in equal turns (Riot, Orbit Junior, Dark Files,
Ring X) now keeps each story whole and in order in its shuffled deck, so a
later part never airs before its first. Replay on the box's own files over
two weeks: no later part before its part before on any channel; stories
booked back to back everywhere weighted. Committed bookings are unchanged.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The first run on the box proposed Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2
before Part 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 without Vol. 1 in a Late Show to nearly
4am, so the rules tighten: a later part never without its earlier parts,
story order for short franchises from their first film, running-time limits
per format (Late Show 4 h, Friday double 4.5 h, Saturday triple 6 h), a
triple only with three films. No sport events (Ring X's) or concerts. A
person's night needs four read films, English-language films of 7.0 or more
and one on the acclaim or trending lists; animation is themed by franchise
or studio. Other bills: English-language by their read countries unless a
studio makes the occasion, a 6.8 average and no film under 6.2. Adult means
an adult rating or horror not rated for families. Looks six weeks ahead.
Ideas shown under the old rules are withdrawn and kept in the history as
such. Replay on the box's files: Toho Monster Night and an Ant-Man double.

Approved by Paul on 5 November 2026: Drive-In only, at most two a week across
it, none when nothing is worthwhile, nothing booked. Seeds come from
franchise collections, event studios (Amicus, Toho, Cannon, Full Moon, AIP,
Ealing, Aardman...), and directors and leading performers with three or more
read films; a seed touching an existing event's films is left out. A bill
needs a coherent theme: one shared genre, one audience (adult horror late,
family on a Saturday, the rest a Friday double), the best films (in story
order for a franchise) clearing a 6.4 average rating. Low-budget cult films
stay eligible for The Late Show. On the box, once a day: missing evidence
read for candidates (bounded), the strongest bills verified film by film
(item, IMDb ID, playable copy), films booked within four weeks or shown on
the Drive-In in the last four left out, evenings free of events, committed
bookings and competing headlines. Every idea shown is kept as history;
dismissed themes stay dismissed unless their films change.

Pairs: twenty cards, ten pairs of Orbit's own channel logos; arrows move, OK
turns a card, a match stays up, a miss turns back after a moment; the
fewest moves is kept. Patience: classic one-card-draw, with a pointer over
the stock, turned card, home piles and columns; OK picks up and puts down,
up and down in a column choose how deep, Back puts a card back, Menu sends a
card home; games won are counted. The honeycomb now holds all six games.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
A paddle, a ball and a wall of bricks for the remote (Paul's approved list):
hold left or right to move, OK to launch, Back to pause. Where the ball meets
the paddle sets its angle; two-hit bricks; four Orbit layouts that cycle,
each wall a little faster; three balls; best score kept on the box. The
arcade's honeycomb now holds Snake and OrbitHive over Block Drop and Brick
Break.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
A falling-blocks puzzle for the remote (from the game list Paul approved on 2
November 2026): left and right move, up turns, down drops a row, OK drops
all the way, Back pauses. Seven shapes from a shuffled bag, a landing guide,
the next shape shown, rows clear for 100/300/500/800 times the level, the
level rises every ten rows and quickens gravity. Orbit's own colours; best
score kept on the box. In the arcade's honeycomb beside Snake and OrbitHive.

Avatar: Fire and Ash on Friday 27 November and Spider-Man: Brand New Day on
Friday 11 December, both 20:00 on Orbit Premiere (approved by Paul on 5
November 2026; Saturday 28 November stays the Arnie Triple Bill's). Each
debut is a fixed slot like Advent's doors, from the film verified on the box
by item, IMDb ID and decoder (read and logged also while booking is off).
Premiere carries the film from its debut (both keep Premiere eligibility)
and its genre home from the end of the window; until then no other channel
shows it. All gated by PREMIERE_BOOKING_ACTIVE, still off: approved dates
aren't permission to book.
Editorial competition (Paul): a debut never shares its evening's airtime
with another headline event (Drive-In events, Advent doors, Naughty List
nights, other premieres), even without a technical clash.
Release check (PremiereReplayTest, box copies of 5 November, premieres on):
both debuts booked on their evenings, no competing events, no showing
before its time, 193+ h between Premiere repeats, all 25 Advent doors and 6
Naughty nights booked, no overlaps or duplicate titles, committed plans
unchanged. Built on 0.108.11's features; versionCode 172.

Paul approved the correction on 5 November 2026. Ring X's themes are
wrestling promotions and their events (WWE, AEW, TNA, NJPW, ROH, Survivor
Series...); a promotion named as the studio counts for it; an MMA event
(UFC, Bellator, PFL...) scores nothing anywhere unless a wrestling promotion
is involved. Promotion names are whole words ('strawweight' isn't WWE).
Python reference is trial 8; the regression samples' UFC titles now have no
home, per the ruling. On the 392 saved titles 7 MMA titles leave Ring X;
every sample holds or improves; Kotlin matches Python on all of them.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Paul, 5 November 2026: two Ring X rejections (UFC 332, The Arena) taught
'fewer Action titles for Ring X', a broad conclusion from the one genre they
shared. Lessons now come from what decisions specifically share: a named
editorial concept (MMA, boxing, professional wrestling, made-for-TV
romance...) from two, or a genre that isn't one of the channel's own from
three; a channel's defining genres never make a lesson, and a concept beats
a genre for the same decisions. Every lesson is a proposal until confirmed
on the Chair (confirm, dismiss, or stop using it); only confirmed lessons
apply, and only while learning is on.
Also a read-only check of the proposed Ring X correction (wrestling first,
MMA events out); the channel's brief is unchanged.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The pop-up keeps its suggestion (or an ask's two channels) up front and puts
every other channel in an 'Other channels' drop-down: scored fits first,
then the rest of the title's kind with why each is outside its usual brief.
Never the wrong kind, a children's channel for an adult rating, animation
for live action, or Premiere.
Learning (ChairLearning.kt): the decisions the Chair keeps become lessons
when two or more go the same way: a redirect (you keep putting a genre on
another channel) or a hold-back (you keep dropping a genre for a channel),
each explained by its own decisions. Shown always; used only while your
Learning switch on the Chair is on (off by default). Off undoes every
effect at once. Nothing is booked, placed or approved by it.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Worth a look holds the Premiere proposals as well as the picks now, and ran
off the bottom with no way down. Each column scrolls on its own, following
the focus; the footer line stays in view.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Avatar: Fire and Ash (then Orbit Sci-Fi) and Spider-Man: Brand New Day
(then Orbit Action) are approved Premiere debuts, both keeping Premiere
eligibility; Mayday is not a theatrical premiere (Apple Original Film,
Apple TV, 4 September 2026) and goes to regular Orbit Action. Called films
are never proposed again and count towards that week's three. Only films
over the bar are proposed, so a week can show fewer than three. Nothing is
booked or listed: the approved debuts wait for the booking workflow.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The box's fuller collections read found TMDB franchise sets ('Godzilla
Collection') beside curated ones that share the word (The Criterion
Collection, The New Year Collection); those link nothing.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
No placing or dropping from a Premiere card until Paul approves booking, so
nothing is written for them.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Paul's refined policy, 5 November 2026. Premiere is a curated premium film
channel. Recency, a major studio, an event-film description, trending lists
and viewer ratings are weighed into one priority; none is required. Format
(TV movie, documentary, under 75 minutes) and Orbit status (aired or booked:
no duplicate first run) are the only hard limits. Streaming originals are
weighed down by evidence (a streamer studio, a streaming list within weeks
of release), not excluded. Unread films are queued for the evidence reader,
which now reads the last 12 months' films (read only). At most three
proposals a week, apart from the picks. After the configurable window a
film joins its genre home, stays on Premiere if premium with no home, or is
held for review; never a forced home. ORBIT PREMIERE is its own What's On
label, apart from FIRST ON ORBIT. Booking from the Chair stays off
(PREMIERE_BOOKING_ACTIVE) until Paul approves.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Release profile (recent, major theatrical studio, high-profile, not a
streaming original or TV film), kept apart from Orbit status (aired,
scheduled, never scheduled). Examples only; the first-on-Orbit premiere
code on main is superseded and won't ship until the corrected policy is
approved.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Paul's policy, 5 November 2026. The Director's Chair makes two
recommendations: a genre home (Premiere is never one) and, for a film
never booked on Orbit that suits an event debut, a first run on Orbit
Premiere. 'Premiere, then <home>' puts it on Premiere's list with a debut
as a fixed slot on the first Friday or Saturday at 20:00 after Premiere's
committed plan (clear of Advent's doors), branded FIRST ON ORBIT. Four weeks
after the debut it leaves Premiere's list for its home's, for that
channel's future schedule. Nothing already booked changes.

Paul, 5 November 2026: a family-friendly or mainstream-rated horror-comedy
(Family genre, children's ratings, PG-13/12A/15) keeps its usual channels;
an unknown rating isn't held against it. 'Gore' joins After Dark's themes.
No placements change on the current 392 titles beyond Deathgasm 2 scoring
higher; samples hold; Kotlin matches the Python reference.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Paul, 5 November 2026, on Mum, I'm Alien Pregnant: context over category.
Horror with comedy (or body horror, gross-out, splatter) now goes to After
Dark, free of its era, and counts less on Orbit Horror and Sci-Fi. Four of
392 titles move (Buzzkill, Deathgasm 2, Bunker Heights, Mum, I'm Alien
Pregnant); the five regression samples hold or improve. Kotlin matches the
new Python reference on all 392 titles.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Pressing a pick opens its pop-up: place it on the suggested channel, change
to another channel the scoring allows (three at most, each with its reason),
or drop it. An ask offers its two channels or Drop. Placing adds the title
to that channel's own list as an accepted choice, so it joins at the next
top-up; nothing is booked and committed bookings never change. Every
decision is recorded, and decided titles make way for the next. A placed
film's playable copy is found when the pool is read.

Scores every mode in one pass with cached text vectors, keeps the report
on the box and refreshes it in the background each hour, and changes mode
when a chip is selected rather than focused. The library's collections are
curated lists (Trending, IMDB Top 250, streamers), so only '... Collection'
sets link franchises; broadcaster lists (BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky, BritBox)
count as verified British origin.
