Orbit TV 0.67.0: Orbit Drive-In
The Drive-In now has real events from Paul's films, on a full-screen destination with three scenes that take turns, one per visit: his theatre, his drive-in (feature artwork on the big screen) and the CRT.
- Sunday to Thursday: Orbit Marquee at 20:00, then The Late Show at 23:00, or 15 to 30 minutes after a long film.
- Friday: Orbit Double Bill at 20:00, then The Late Show. Saturday: Orbit Triple Bill at 19:00.
- Double and triple bills are hand-picked and rotate by week. One with a film missing, recently shown or on elsewhere is passed over; Friday or Saturday falls back to a Marquee if none fits.
- Booked a week ahead, once, in schedule-160.json, using film pools already on the box, so it makes no extra provider requests. Other channels now avoid the Drive-In's films when they top up, and bills avoid what they've already committed.
- OK on a showing bill tunes it live. OK on a later bill shows its ticket. Between shows, the player closes back to the lot.
- The home card shows the real next bill.
Checked: build, lint and 266 unit tests pass, including 12 new ones. The tests caught a late show being merged into the bill before it, fixed by always leaving a break.
Not checked: how it looks on the TV. Screenshots are blocked on the box, so text positions on the marquee boards and the artwork on the big screen and CRT were placed by measurement and need Paul's eye. Tuning a bill live and returning to the lot between shows also haven't been run on the box.
Not built: reminders. A ticket doesn't yet alert you when the show starts. The app is 19.6 MB, up from 19.1 MB. Catalogue unchanged.
