Orbit TV 0.83.1: curtain intro (0.83.0) and no third in a row

0.83.0, Drive-In curtain intro

  • The approved curtain film plays when you go into a Drive-In screening, over the tuning screen and the film's first moments. The film opens underneath at its live point and stays silent until the curtains finish, so neither the schedule nor the playback position changes.
  • Back skips it at any time, and OK skips it once the film has loaded. It ends at once on any playback error, after 9 seconds whatever happens, when the app is left, or when the screening is closed. Each ending is noted in playback-notes.txt with its reason and time.
  • Settings, Watching: Drive-In curtains (on by default) and Reduce motion (off by default; turns the intro off). The Watching panel now scrolls.
  • PresentationIntro.kt holds the reusable parts: IntroSource, IntroPlayback, rememberIntro and IntroOverlay. A takeover supplies another IntroSource.
  • raw/drive_in_intro.mp4 is 380 KB, 7 s at 30 fps, -20 LUFS, 5 dB below the approved master so the fanfare sits nearer film level.
  • Test hook: launching with the orbit_intro_test extra from adb plays the intro on the next channel tuned, once.

0.83.1, no third in a row

  • With finish-together, a show never plays a third time in a row while another show in the block is only waiting for the round to finish. The show that has waited starts its next round early, and its reason says so.
  • PlanBaselineTest: with the rule switched off, all nine 0.81.4 fingerprints still match. With it on, every plan is identical up to its first early restart, which only ever happens where the old plan had a third in a row.
  • Fresh-week replay of every finish-together channel from the box's real files: only Tots changes. Its longest run falls from 83 to 2, from programme 650 onwards. Ring X's single-show event days are unchanged at 18. The other 16 channels are identical.
  • Committed plans are untouched, so Monday 9 November's committed Tots run still airs unless Tots' plan is rebuilt.

Unit tests: 321 passed, 0 failed. Lint passed.

0.83.2, second changeover in a row

  • Cause, from the box's log at 10:15:24: when the show on air had itself been loaded ahead, loading the next one replaced it. The screen lost the on-air show's plan, closed its player (released at 10:15:24.433), went back to tuning, and re-opened it. Then the changeover had no ident. That's what Paul saw on Heroes at 10:15, and it explains the missed Vortex ident this morning: both were the second changeover in a row.
  • Fix: the on-air preloaded show is kept apart from the next one, so loading the next can't take it off the screen.
  • Unit tests: 321 passed. Lint passed. The fix is in the composable, so it's proven on the box by two changeovers in a row.
