Orbit TV 0.89.0: Terra, Wild, Odyssey, Dark Files and Evidence identities
Configuration only, on the existing scheduler. Lists and blocks in ChannelIdentities.kt; reasons in docs/channels.
Terra's limit
Terra stopped loading after 20 shows. The limit was set in 0.41.0 when its list was short, to cap Emby requests in early testing. Terra now reads its whole curated list, like the other curated channels, so the list itself is the limit. Longest top-up in the replay: 17 ms with 39 shows (was 7 ms with 20).
Catalogue
Every new title was matched against a read-only copy of the box's catalogue, using the library's own spelling, and checked for second entries under another name (Prehistoric Planet has two; only one is asked for). Not added: Bear Grylls Wild Adventure (interactive), Deadly 60 (children's), Gold Rush (mining), Prehistoric Planet (2022) (duplicate).
Replay
Four weeks of hourly top-ups from the box's real pools, plans and progress for all smart channels, after phasing in from the committed plans, against today's setup. New titles not yet read used stand-ins with public episode counts (Terra 19 series including Natural World as 100 episodes; Wild 8; Odyssey 11).
| Channel | Episodes repeated within 7 days | within a day | Distinct episodes / programmes | Shows unseen in week one |

| Wild | 0 (0) | 0 (0) | 837 / 852 (913 / 913) | 2 (0) |
| Odyssey | 23 (58) | 0 (0) | 741 / 948 (627 / 840) | 13 (15) |
| Dark Files | 1 (0) | 0 (0) | 871 / 945 (993 / 993) | 8 (8) |

- Every channel: committed plans unchanged, no gaps, no programme outside its block, no episode out of order, no fallbacks.
- Block edges: a block opens with the first programme after its hour, up to 58 minutes late after a feature-length episode (Evidence). Nothing is cut or overlaps.
- Shows unseen in week one are short series resting after their run; Odyssey's Band of Brothers is deliberately in no block.
- Known limit, the same as ToonZ: long series take most of the airtime while short series rest for weeks. Over four weeks Alone and Naked and Afraid had about 120 hours each on Wild, and The Universe and How the Universe Works led Odyssey, while Running Wild, Dual Survival, Cosmos and the Wonders series aired rarely. Blocks set the identity; how often a show airs follows its episode count. This belongs to the fair rotation investigation in docs/roadmap.md.
Unit tests: 334 passed. Lint passed. Not installed.
Installed on the box 3 November 2026 at about 14:05 with Paul's OK, the box on the Google TV home screen; Orbit wasn't opened. Orbit hadn't run since 0.88.0 was installed, so the 0.88.0 and 0.89.0 checks both wait for its next run. Pre-install snapshot of every plan kept for comparison.
