Orbit TV 0.91.0: film nights

Slasher Saturday on Horror, and B-Movie Throwbacks and Cult Classics on After Dark. Separate from 0.90.0's film matching, and from any scheduler change: the film planner and its 7-day rest are untouched.

What changed

  • Three events (ChannelIdentities.kt): Horror Saturday 20:00 to 02:00; After Dark Friday 21:00 to 01:00 and Sunday 21:00 to 01:00. Each film is named with its year, and its IMDb ID recorded, where the library has another film of that title (31 of them).
  • An event is a preferred window. It opens with the first film after its hour, and the last film it starts runs to its natural end. Nothing is interrupted.
  • An event that runs past midnight now belongs to the night it started (DayPart.covers). This also corrects Wild's Saturday-late Dirty Jobs, which until now stopped at midnight.
  • A block's film titles can carry their year ("Halloween (1978)"); the pool holds that exact film under its plain title.
  • Horror's list gains 15 slashers; After Dark's gains 39 films and it now reads its whole list. A film channel's list limit now counts films found from the list, so films carried over from an old line-up can't crowd the list out.
  • Sing on PixelZ is now "Sing (2016)", the Illumination film; the library has two films called Sing from 2016.

Replay

Four weeks of hourly top-ups from the box's real files after 0.90.0, with the event films added to Horror and After Dark from the catalogue (real IDs and runtimes).

  • No gaps, committed plans unchanged, no film on two channels at once.
  • Slasher Saturday: 3 or 4 films a night, starting between 20:17 and 21:27 and finishing between 02:10 and 03:24. No fallbacks, no film inside its rest. Two films returned after exactly a week (Child's Play, Halloween).
  • B-Movie Throwbacks and Cult Classics: 2 or 3 films a night, no fallbacks within the events. Some favourites came back weekly (Big Trouble in Little China on three of four Sundays, Killer Klowns, Withnail & I and Heathers twice), because After Dark's everyday rotation already runs short of rested films (253 fallbacks over four weeks against 250 before the events). That belongs to the rest-period investigation.
  • Not checked here: whether each new film's copy plays on the box. That shows in the log when the box first reads them.

Unit tests: 345 passed. Lint passed. Not installed.

0.91.1

0.91.0 plus one read-only diagnostic: started from adb with --es orbit_inspect_series "Title", the next top-up logs that series' episodes (season, number, runtime, sources, containers, chapter names; no file paths). Used to check how The Last Drive-In is stored before any engine change. Nothing else differs.
