A live object reached the renderer without passing the isolated-object check that groups go
through, so an isolated repeat was dimmed with the art around it. Tests cover leaving isolation
(double-click outside, exitIsolation), undo/redo of an edit inside, and a repeat of a group.
A double-click on a Radial, Grid or Mirror Repeat with the Selection
tool enters isolation mode on it. There its source art is selected and
edited as usual (a double-click on type in it switches to the Type tool
on that text) and every copy follows, the repeat keeping its settings.
set_loader keeps the first registration, so a test registering blue_page first left the gate
out. Every test in the file now registers gated_blue_page (blue_page while the gate is open).
a_ready_bitmap_draws_again_where_its_file_shows assumed the first frame shows placeholders,
but the background worker can make the tiny test bitmaps between scheduling and the frame's
second lookup, so the frame already showed them ("the bitmaps show" failed on FreeBSD CI).
The test's loader now waits until that frame is drawn.

An effect bound to Cmd+Enter wasn't among all_shortcuts, so the active tool took the Enter
before the keymap ran the effect. Effect items' own shortcuts are now listed with the rest.
Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts lists every Effect menu item under its menu
path and gives each one a shortcut (stored as effect:<id>, mapped to
effect.dialog {effect}, or effect.apply for an effect without options).
The menu shows it, and pressing it opens that effect's dialog for the
selection.

After a click on a Layers or Appearance row, a plain Delete or
Backspace now goes to that panel even when the active tool claims the
key. Before, the Artboard tool (and Gradient, Width, Puppet Warp…)
took it first: Delete after a click on a layer row deleted the active
artboard, not the layer.
The Type tool still keeps Delete and Backspace while it edits text.
The native-window harness records each window's texts, so a test can
find a row in it. Delete after a click on the Fill row of an Appearance
panel floating in its own OS window removes the row and leaves the
object.
When an effect that isn't highlighted is dropped on Delete above the
active one, the active effect, the highlight and its anchor now move up
with their rows, and removed rows drop out of the highlight. Before,
they kept their old row numbers and pointed at the wrong effects.
- Drag strokes, fills, characters and effects to move them, or drop them
on the Duplicate or Delete button
- Select several rows with Shift/Cmd-click and move them as one block
- Delete and Backspace remove the highlighted rows, not the selected art
- Row links open their panel (Stroke, Character…) as a flyout
- Stroke weight spinner follows Units > Stroke
- Transparency panel edits the active fill's or stroke's opacity
addon.color.swatchLegend replaces swatch.legend. The dialog sets columns, chip size, gap, the values shown
and whether to use only the swatches selected in the Swatches panel, with a preview; duplicate value
kinds are refused. The Swatches panel menu item is removed. Catalog rows in all 26 languages.
Each chip's fill links to its swatch as paint.setFill {swatch} does, so
editing a global or spot swatch recolours the legend. Labels are area
type the size of the chip that shrinks text to fit. Gray values use the
app's own Gray conversion, and fractional column counts are refused.
swatch.legend draws a grid of chips, one per colour swatch (the given
ones, else every one), each filled with and linked to its swatch and
labelled with its name and colour values (HEX, RGB, CMYK, Lab or
Grayscale; by default its own model; spot swatches marked), black on
light chips and white on dark ones, as one selected group in one undo
step. The Swatches panel menu's Create Swatch Legend draws the selected
colour swatches, else every one.

Window > Arrange > Tile (window.arrange.tile) splits the document area
into one pane per open document, edge to edge, in a grid with as many
columns as the square root of the number of documents, rounded up. Each
document is fitted to its pane, and fitted again when its pane changes
size (a document opened or closed, the window resized) unless it was
zoomed or scrolled since. The current document's pane is the canvas;
the other panes draw their documents with their artboards, guides,
selected objects and Pixel Preview, and a press in one makes its
document the current one, as a click on its tab does. Window > Arrange >
Consolidate All Windows (window.arrange.consolidateAllWindows) goes back
to one document under its tab. It works the same on the desktop and the
web, and the arrangement is not saved.
Tile is enabled with two or more open documents, and Consolidate All
Windows while documents are tiled. ui.inspect reports tiled and the
panes.
With Real-time Drawing and Editing off, a drag drew one outline per selected
object with no limit, so a selection with hundreds of thousands of points
built the overlay mesh that the canvas's 100,000-point limit keeps it from
drawing at rest (#525, #2460). Past the same number of points the drag now
draws the moved selection's bounds, as the canvas does for the selection at
rest.
